DISTRICT NEWS.
'MIDHIRST. { M (iFrom our own correspondent.) On Monday night last the Rev. Mr. Metson, from Stratford, delivered a lecture in the Primitive Methodist Church on the life of D. L. Moody. The lecture was a most intenesting one, but the attendance was very small. Weddings are at a premium in Midhirst just now. Last Monday witnessed the marriage of Mr. Andrew Anderson, of this town, to Miss Charlotte Huge, of Omata. Their many friends in Midhirst unite in wishing them nothing ifut good luck. On Wednesday last Mr. F. Taylor, of Inglewood, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Maud, the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Robertson. The young couple are well known in tht township, and their many liiends will join in wishing them a happy life. Mr R. Small has met with a serious accident to one of his eyes, and u now | in New Plymouth for treatment.
