The loss involved kf the reduction of 50 centimes on the tariff was more than made good, justifying a similar reduction in January. The tariff during three years has been lower kj 20 per cent.

THE HAYMARKET RIOTERS. Received 4, 9.50 p.m. , Sydney, June 4. Si* of those charged in connection With the Haymarket riot were before the court to-day. One was sentenced to ionr months' imprisonment with hard labor, two were fined, and the others were remanded. !
THE WINDSOR MURDER. Received 4, 9.50 p.m. ! Sydney, June 4. Jones, charged 'with the murder of hie pife at Windsor, was judged not guilty DO the grounds of insanity. The jury •dded a recommendation that he should be kept under strict surveillance.
