The Rotoiti arrived from Oneliunga on Saturday evening and after loading a small quantity of general cargo proceeded to Wellington. | THE MOA. The Moa arrived from Westport yesterday with a cargo of coal. She discharges to-day. THE RARAWA. V FBI 1.1 The Rarawa is to leave Onehunga today for New Plymouth and is due here , to-morrow. The vessel's time-table has been altered for the winter months, and is to arrive here on Tuesdays and Fridays, returning to Onehunga the same; evenings. TIMBER FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. j It is reported that the Ennerdale, of j the Maoriland 'Shipping Company's fleet, 1 has been chartered to load a cargo of J timber at Huon (Tasmania) for Lyttel- I ton and New Plymouth, and is to leave | the Tasmanian port about the end of this 1 month. The New Plymouth cargo will probably ,be hardwood for the contemplated wharf extension. WAIRAU TO BE CONVERTED INTO A TRAWLER. The coastal steamer Wairau, which paid a couple of visits here a short time ago, has been purchased by Captain T. Eckford. The Wairau was formerly the schooner Ronga, which was dismantled in Cook Strait and then converted into a steamer. A week or so ago the vessel put into New Plymouth with a fracturad steampipe, and after having this repaired she proceeded to Wanganui and Foxton, but on entering the Manawatu river the vessel went aground. She was floated off: next day, however,. none the worse for ] the experience.
