MAGISTRATE'S COURT. Before Mr. Crooke, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court on Tuesday niorning, on the application of the police, a prohibition order was made against Peter John Hosldn, and, on his own application, a similar order was issued against James Purdie. i Judgment for the plaintiff, by default, was given in the casses of Mary Ann Govenlock v. Henry H. Mcßrearty, claim ■£■lo 19s Id, costs £-2 Ills 6d; R. T. Batley v. John Walsh (costs) 15s. In the judgment summons case, Ann ( Cross v. Richard E. Simons, claim £5 2s 2d, defendant was ordered to pay, in default six days' imprisonment. H. Langman v. Paekawa Tunga, claim £3 10s 7d—defendant was ordered to pay, or undergo three days' imprisonment.
