A MYSTERIOUS DEATH. By Telegraph—Press Association ' Wellington, Thursday. Alice Thompson, wife of Constable Thompson, in charge of Thorndon Police Station, died in the hospital to-day from injuries received on or near Thorndon railway line on May 15. She was found lying on the line at 10.30 p.m. It is not known whether She was struck by the engine. KILLED BY A COLLISION. Wanganui, Last Night. On Wednesday afternoon, while riding a bicycle, Haslam Wood, the eixteen-year-old son of Mr. W. A. Wood, railway traffic inspector, collided with a cart, the shaft of which struck him in the pit of the stomach. He was medically treated, and then taken home, where lie collapsed, passing away to-day.
