PERSONAL. i Dr. TT. A. Cooper, second son of his Honor Judge Cooper, will shortly join Dr. Harrison, of Eltham, reports fhe Argus. Mr. E. C. Little, of the State Fire Insurance Office, Wellington, left yesterday morning for New Plymouth, where he is to relieve the manager of the office there. 'Miss MoLeod, M.A.. of the teaching staff of the Dannevirke District High School, has been appointed first special assistant at the Hawera District High School. The death took place at Colombo on May 5 of Mr. Frederick Beard, organist of St. Patrick's Cathedral. Melbourne, and one of Australia's best known musicians. He is said to have been the best chorus master in the Commonwealth. Mr. S. F. Whitcombe, district traffic manager at "Wellington, has been appointed traffic superintendent for the South Island, with headquarters at Dunedin. Mr. Whitcombe has been in the Tailway service since 1876. and was formerly traffic clerk at New Plymouth. The Hon. Edward Richardson, C.M.G., who has been a director of the liowil Board" of the Australian Mutual Provident Society for the past 23 years, has resigned. The principal board in Sydney has conferred the vacant seat on the board on Mr. Harold Beauehamp, of the firm of W. M. Bannatyne and Co., Ltd. Roslyn football jerseys are the best.Advt.
