HOCKEY.

HAWKE'S LAV BEAT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph —Press Association. Napier, Last Night. A representative hockey match between Wellington and Hawke's Bay waa played here to-day, and was won by the latter team by three goals to one. In the first half Wellington held their own, and at half time were leading by one goal to nil. The goal was scored bv Davies. The home team had easily the best of the second half. They excelled the visitors in both forward and back sections. Anderson scored twice in quick succession. Blundell also found the net. During the first half, C. Davies was injured, and had to leave the field for a time, coming on again shortly after 1 half-time.

The Whakatika Club will be represented by the following players in the match against Papakura (Tnglewnod) this afternoon:—Forwards, M. Stohr, M. Francis, M. MeEwen, G. Herbert, E. Johnstone; halves, I. Thompson, 0, Blanehett, C. Penn; backs, E. Andrews, A. Hawke; goal, M. Corkill; emergency, G. Pellew. Play will commence at 3.30 on the racecourse.
