AN UNCOMMON POINT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Chief Justice yesterday gave judgment in an originating summons brought to determine whether the South Canterbury Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was entitled to recover from the Hawke's Bay Education Board moneys paid by a former board for maintenance at the industrial school of the illegitimate children of a woman who had resided in Hawke's Bay before their birth. His Honor said plaintiffs were not entitled to sue defendant board.
