DISTRICT NEWS.
. * prxrao.. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The concert and dance in aid of the school funds which took place on Friday night was the most enjoyable that has ever been held in Puniho. The following contributed to the programme: Mrs. Vincent, Misses K. and F. Corbett, E. Knight and D. Andrews, Messrs. E. and R. Andrews, A. G. Knight, J. A. Thomas, F. Gable,, A. Wells, and Rev. Addenhrooke. The music for the dance was supplied! by Miss Andrews, and extras were played by Messrs. A. G. Knight and X. Andrews, whilst the duties of M.C. were entrusted to Mr. A. E. Sadler, who kept tilings going merrily till the small hours of the morning. During the evening Mr. Bottler favored the audience with a step dance. The supper, which was supplied by the ladies, was handed round in tlie school at the conclusion of the concert, and was, as usual, much enjoyed, by all.
