UNFORTUNATE GREYMOUTH. The unfortunate wreck of the Kotuku, while leaving Greymouth under the most favorable conditions, is an accident that calls for the strictest possible enquiry (says the loeal Argus). It is bad enough to have to report a shipping disaster due to circumstances that no exercise of foresight could prevent, such as a terrible storm or some other natural cause beyond the skill of man to counteract. But no such excuse could be pleaded for the loss of the Kotuku. The night was fine, / and not darker than is usual in such weather and at this time of the year. The bar was sufficiently smooth, there tfeing no swell or considerable sea rolling ■ in at the time. OVERSEA SHIPPING. STEAMERS TO ARRIVE AT i WELLINGTON. { From London—
