MINING

TELLURIDES PROPRIETRY, LTD. Following is the mine manager's report for the week ending May 18, 1912: Gordon.—The extension of the level on the north course of the Cbrbett's 'ode has been proceeded with, and a total distance of 31feet from-the .'main crosscut has been accomplished. About six feet back from the present working face a very tight section of countrycame in, and there is now only about three feet of stone showing, but a change may take place at any time. Volunteer.—The rise on the upstrike of the lode in this section has attained a height of 26 feet. The reef is still two feet wide, and showing strong colors of gold. A sample taken from the north end of the rise assayed £4 19b per ton, and one. from the south end assayed £IC 10s fld per ton. The lode is apparently taking a heavy underlie from this point up. Owing to the heavy nature of the ground we are passing through I have had to stop rising operations and timber up. and it will take the greater part of next week to complete this work.
