PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
MR. ROOSEVELT CONFIDENT. By Cable—Press Association—-Copyright. New York, May 22. At the National Convention of the State of Ohio, Mr. Roosevelt secured the votes of 32 out of 40 district delegates. The Democratic vote favored Mr. Harmon. President Taft is greatly disappointed at the loss of his own State. Mr. Roosevelt, interviewed, said that he was delighted at the result, and declares that the whole question of the Presidency is now settled. THE FIGHT PROGRESSING. Rpceived 23, 11 p.m, Washington. March 23. Mr. Taft claims that "the 570 delegates in favor of him in the Chicago Republican Convention are sufficient to secure his nomination for the Presidency. Mr. Roosevelt carried the Ohio by a plurality of 250,000 votes. The Rooseveltian dekgates number 32, and Taft's 10.
