AMUNDSEN AND SCOTT
TWO BRAVE ADVENTURERS.
By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 23, 12.50 a.m. * * London, May 22. Lord Curzon, presiding at a meeting of the Royal Geographical Society, said that regret might be felt that Amundsen had not seen his way to take the public into his confidence. They might be sure that Captain Scott would have welcomed him, and Amundsen would have avoided the appearance of attempting to forestall Captain 'Scott. Nevertheless, this would not deter them from welcoming a brave and adventurous achievement.
