A GEODETIC SURVEY.
Melbourne, May 22.
A conference of Surveyors-General decided that the Commonwealth should undertake a geodetic survey of the continent. It recommended the publishing of an international map of the world on a 6cale of one-in-a-million, the cost to be shared by the Commonwealth and Dominions, each doing their own work.
