MATAKANA ISLAND DISPUTE

JUDGMENT FOR PLAINTIFF. The Deputy-Registrar (Mr. J. Terry) yesterday read the judgment of Mr. Justice Sim in the case of Robison v. Sanson, which occupied the Supreme Court for four days during the March sittings at New Plymouth, and was concluded at Wellington on the 2nd inst. The action was for specific performance of an agreement for exchange of the plaintiff's property, known as Matakana Island, near Tauranga, and the defendant's property in the Stratford district.

His Honor found for the plaintiff on all grounds, and decreed specific performance of the contract by the defendant, with costs on the highest scale, and disbursements.

Mr. 11. D. Bell, K.C., and Mr. Rofy, instructed by Messrs Roy and Nicholson, appeared for 'the plaintiff, and Mr. €. P. Skerrett and Mr. Spence, instructed by Messrs Spence and Stanford, .appeared for the defendant.
