THE POSITION IN FEZ
• ANTI-FRENCH FEELING. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 21, 0.5 p.m. London, May 21. The Times' Tangier correspondent reports that 'the French have been compelled to 'withdraw the edict fining Fez a million francs. The situation is critical. The whole country between Fez and the Algerian frontier is in arms. The Berbers south of Fez attacked Sefru, and are expected to attack the capital. The general sentiment is entirely antiFrench, and not anti-European.
