Captain' Godfrey Paine, who recently secured an aviator's certificate after only four days' flying, has been appointed commandant of the Naval and Military Flying School at Aldershot. Captain Samson has been appointed commandant of the naval wing of the flying corps, and Captain Sykes of the military wing. A SPECTATOR KILLED. Received 20, 10.5 p.m. London, May 19. While Lieutenant Ashton was completing a successful flight on the Army grounds at Larkhill, Salisbury Plain, two thousand spectators closed in upon the shed, and Ashton was unable to avoid them. He killed a youth and injured four others.
