A LONG FAST

PRACTICAL EVIDENCE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Vancouver, May 9. Linda Hazzard, the "fasting specialist," who is now serving a sentence for the manslaughter of Miss Claire Williamson, who died as a result of the starvation cure that she underwent at the hands of the prisoner, has just concluded a self-imposed fast of 45 days. "Dr. Hazzard," as she was known, undertook this long abstention from food with the object of refuting the opinion expressed by medical experts at her trial that the limit of human endurance in such an ordeal was fourteen days. Upon being weighed at the end of her fast it was found that the woman had lost exactly 421b., her present weight being 1401b.
