w SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Department published the following summary and forecast at o p.m.:—Summary. —A low pressure area passed in the south during the night. Strong northerly winds, changing by west to southerly in southern districts, witl misty and cloudy weather and rain in parts. The barometer has fallen everywhere, but has risen again in the south. ForecastPresent indications are for strong westerly winds, with a southerly tendency, but probably backing again and increasing, for an extensive westerly storm area is due in the south on Sunday evening. Expect unsettled and cloudy weather, with rain generally. The barometer is rising temporarily in the south, but will be falling again soon.
