SADLER GETS SEVEN YEARS. • By Telegraph—Preae Association. Christchurch, Last Night. At the criminal sittings Walter R. Sadler, convicted of using an instrument for an unlawful purpose, was sentenced to seven years' imprisonment. George Weston was convicted of a similar offence, and sentence was deferred pending a decision on a point raised as to whether the gir]'s evidence was corroborated. DUNEDIN SESSIONS. Dunedin, Last Night. In the Supreme Court to-day Margaret Parker was re-tried on a charge of sly-grog selling at St. Kilda, on April 14. The jury again disagreed. In reply to the Judge the Crown Prosecutor said that he had pretty well made up his mind what course to adopt, but he would take till .the following day to decide whether lie would proceed further with the case.
