A ROYAL COMMISSION. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Brisbane, May 16. The Royal Commission on the fruit industry has commenced. Mr. Foster, chairman, stated that he thought the time had come for the Federal Government to take hold of all precautions with a view to giving "better facilities for marketing at Home and abroad. Witnesses declared that the opposition of Chinese gardeners and their importation from Fiji, made the growing of bananas unprofitable.
