The Rotoiti, with but 18 tons of cargo, arrived yesterday morning from Wellington, Pic ton and Nelson. She sailed for Onehunga after discharging. While coming alongside the wharf at 8 o'clock this morning the Rotoiti ran into the breakwater, buckling her plates for about eight feet. She buried herself fully six inches into the solid concrete, the 'shock hurling the crew in all directions. As she was not leaking, and as a survey showed that no serious damage was done, she will proceed on her trip.
