King Frederick had taken the initiative in this matter, and he publicly welcomed the visiting legislators. King Frederick and Queen Louise pad a State vsit to England from June 8 to June 13. 1907, and were entertained at the Guildhall by the Corporation of London. King Frederick was the brother of Queen Alexandra, King George of Greece, and the Dowager-Empress of Russia. King Frederick and Queen Louise had ■even children. Their second son, Prince Karl, married Princess Maud of Great Britain, and was in November, 1905, elected King of Norway and as Haakon VTn. King Frederick is succeeded by his eldest son, Prince Christina, who was born on September 26, 1870, and married on April 26, 1898, to Princess Alexandra of Mecklenburg.
