Mr. Charles Seabrook, one of the oldest residents of Greymouth, died on Wednesday, after a long ijlness. Sir Robert Stout has been re-elected representative of the Victoria College Council on the Senate of the New Zealand University. Mv, E. (iilmour was presented by the Norwoods, prior to their departure from New Plymouth, with an engraved silver cigarette case, in token of the good' offices he had rendered the company. Professor Mills has abandoned his intention of proceeding to America to take part in the Presidential election campaign. He has consented to remain in New Zealand as national organiser for the United Labor party.
