Laurenson, in reply to7l communication from the Wellington Industrial Association, urging the Government to bring skilled labor from Home to relieve the existing shortages, states that after careful consideration the Cabinet has decided that it cannot see its way to do anything in this direction. Ine Association, at its meeting to-night, considered the Minister's reply unsatisfactory, and resolved to approach other assocations throughout the Dominion, with a view of taking joint action.
