A QUESTION OF ROADINC. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dannevirke, Last Night. Members of a deputation waiting upon the Prime Minister with regard to giving road access to a scenic reserve gazetted, were disappointed with the reception accorded. The Mayor explained the need for a road, as the reserve is surrounded by private properties, hut the Prime Minister said that the policy of the Department was not to give access to the reserves. Another member of the deputation wanted to know the value of the reserve if people could not gain access to it. The Prime Minister: You «an take it from me you won't get a road. Continuing, he said that if the people were given access to the reserve they would destroy it.
