TOM MANN
DEBATE IN THE HOUSE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 14, 5.5 p.m. London, May 13. Replying to the Marquis of Tullibardine, Unionist M.P. for Perthshire, Mr. Mackenna stated that Tom Mann was convicted years ago of diluting beer in a public house of which he was the tenant. Asked whether he would he released, he said that he was .considering his short-hand notes, and was unable to reply. Mr. Lansbury, Labor member for Bow, was refused leave to move the adjournment of the House in connection with the Mann debate. Only thirty members supported the application.
