The two armies, composed of fifteen thousand men, came into conflict near Torreon, which the rebels captured. PRESIDENT GOMEZ RESIGNS. Received 13, 12.30 a.m. Mexico City, May 12. President Gomez has abdicated. A provisional Presidency has been established. Orozco is facing the Federal army, 7000 strong. No engagement has taken place yet, but the Federals hold the stronger positions. Orozoco's retreat is likely.
