The Ashburton County Racing Club's autumn meeting was concluded this afternoon under favorable conditons, the weather being bright and sunny and the attendance above the average, while the fields were again large. The totalisator investments were exceptionally heavy, the total for the meeting being £14,107 10s, as against £11,526 10s in May, 1911, and £6183 10s in May, 1910, though on the latter occasion bookmakers were licensed. The following are the results of the racing:— Moreton Hack Handicap, of 70 sovs; six furlongs,—Ceylon 8.10, 1; Stephanos 9.4, 2; Reef Points 7.5, 3. Early Morn 9.7, Mademoiselle Ixe 8.9, Susa 8.7, Kris 8.6, Gilt Edge 7.13, Wedding Ring 7.12, Bridegroom 7.5, and Loch Sliiel 7,0 also started. Won by two lengths, with Re«f Points a similar distance away. Time, lmin 17 1-Ssec. Winchmore Welter Handicap, of 80 sovs; seven furlongs.—Probalble 9.0, 1; Kilmeny 7.10, 2; Kilts 9.10, 3. Genius 9.12, King Try 9.3, Grand Slam 8.13\ Nithsdale 8.10, Red Wing 8.6, Red, White and Blue 8.0, and Golightly 7.10 also started. Grand Slam wn« left at the post.
