TERRIBLE EXPLOSION
WORKMAN'S HEAD BLOWN OFF. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 10, 12.2.1 a.m. London, May 9. A terrific gas explosion at Stratford wrecked a meterhouse and adjacent buildings. A workman was found in the ruins with his head blown off, and another was desperately injured. The town and adjacent villages are in darkness.
