THE WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND FORECAST. . By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Department published the following summary and forecast at 5 p.m.:—Summary—The barometer has fallen everywhere, with easterly and southerly winds, moderate to strong, and squally in parts. Increasimg cloudiness has prevailed, but little lain has fallen at present. Forecast— Threatening conditions still continue in the north, and easterly winds, strong to gale, are probable northward of Kawhia. and Gisborne. with cloudy weather and rain. Strong southerly winds are to be expected elsewhere, with cold, misty, cloudy and unsettled weather. The barometer has a falling tendency everywhere, especially in the north.
