Mr. B. Dive returned to Eltham on Monday night from his trip to Australia. Mr. P. White has been elected chairman of the Municipal Library Committee. Mr. €. A. Wilkinson, of Eltham, leaves this evening, en route for America. He expects to be away about six months. A cablegram has been received reporting the death in London of Mr. Robert Stains, one of the founders of the firm of Kirkcaldie and Stains. A social, is to be given to the Hon. T. Mr. Ryan, until recently custodian at the North Egmont Mountain House, left New Plymouth this week, with his wife and family, en route to Queensland. A private cablegram received yesterday states that Mr. F. W. Fagan and his family, who are on a visit to the Old Country, arrived at Bristol yesterday after a good passage. The Patea Press reports that Mrs. J. W. Randall, of Kakaramea, died on Sunday, in her sixty-nmth year.
