At the South Australian Jockey Club's meeting the following was the result of the Adelaide Cup, of 1500 sovs; one mile and five furlongs: Eyeglass 9.9, 1; Banffshire 7.2, 2; Kurangai 8.0, 3. Seventeen horses started. Koran made the running until nearing home, when Eyeglass took charge and won easily by five lengths, with a length between second and third. Time, 2min 50y 2 sec.
