Wheat.—There is no inquiry for cargoes, though sellers are mostly willing to accept a reduction. The markets are very dull. For a South Australian February shipment 40s fid is asked; 39s 9d for an April shipment, and 40s 3d for Victorian and New South Wales February shipments are being paid; 39s 9d for March shipments, and for parcels of April-May shipment 39s is being offered. There is a little inquiry for Australian spot at 435. Flour. —Quiet.
Oats—Quiet. For a La Plata AprilMay shipment 17s 6d is being offered. Butter.—Danish, very dull, 113s to 115s. Colonial butter is slightly firmer. Choicest Australian 104s to 108s; unsalted 110s; secondaries, 110s to 102s; New Zealand, 110s to 112s; unsalted, 114s. Wool—Competition is animated, and prices are being, maintained.
