KITH AND KIN

A RIDICULOUS STATEMENT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright S-dney, May 3. The Sydney Morning Herald publishes the statement of a recently arrived New Zealander that New 'Zen.landers are disliked in Australia, and were boycotted by employers. Against this it sets the directly opposite opinion of three prominent representative New Zealanders resident in Sydney. One declares that the statement is truly absurd. New Zealanders get along here better than Australians do in New Zealand. Another gentleman says that New Zealanders are generally in demand, owing to their grit and initiative. The third says that Australians show a most cordial regard for their kith and kin from the Dominion. All agree that they have never heard any objection to New Zealanders simply because they were New Zealanders, and point to the many prominent positions that New Zealanders occupy.
