THE BROTHERHOOD

After much preparation the Brotherhood meetings will bo commenced in the Good Templar Hall to-morrow afternoon, at 3 o'clock. Every effort has been made to make the service attractive to men. Hymns will be sung, and Miss Nellie Castle, the well-known contralto from Wellington, will sing "Nearer My God to Thee." Mr. W. M. Perry has kindly consented to act as temporary musical conductor, and Mr. Carbines will preside at the piano. One pleasing feature is that nearly all the ministers of the town will be upon the platform with other representative citizens. His Worship the Mayor will preside; the lesson will be read by the Rev. A. H. Colvlle; prayer will be offered by the Rev. T. H. Roseveare; and the Rev. J. W. Burton will deliver an address on "Brotherhood as an ideal of Jesus Christ." Two representatives from the successful Brotherhood at Wanganui will be present. The meeting will commence punctually at 3 o'clock and will close at 4. Hj-mn sheets will be provided, and there will be no collection.
