Tin. —Spot £2ll 10s, three months £209. The Kaipara's New Zealand apples were in good condition, but many were immature. The bulk brought 6s 9d to 7s 6d; some Cox's Orange brought 10s to lis. Tallow.—One thousand eight hundred and sixty-two casks were offered, and 1248 sold. Mutton—Fine 37s 6d, medium 34s 6d. Beef.—Fine 35s 9d, medium 345. L. A. Nolan & Co. report for the week ending Wednesday, May 1, 1912: Poultry—We had our pons well filled. Prices were very satisfactory and showed an increase on previous week's. Table birds are in good demand. We quote: Hens Is 4d to "2s Id, coe v vels Is fid to 2s sd, purebred do. 4s, puli ' ; 2s 3d to 3s 3d, roosters "2s to 2s 4d, ducks Is Sd to Is 9d, Muscovy ducks 7s 6d pair. Fruit.—The market has been somewhat quiet this week owing to the prevailing bad weather. Apples are in splendid supply, prices remaining firm. We quote: Apples, Jonathans 6s to 6s 6d, Northern Spies (half-cases) 4s to 4s fid, Cleopatras 5s 9d to 6s 3d, Sturmers 5s 6s to 6s 6d, cookers 5s 6d; pears, dessert (half-cases) 5s to 5s 6d, cookers (bushels) 6s, tomatoes 2s to 4s, walnuts 7d per lb, oranges 7s to 7s 6d, grapes (local) 9d to Is per 11).
