FLOODS IN THE SOUTH

MOTOR-CAR SERVICE TTUNG IT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gore, Last Night. The motor-cars on the Lumsden- Tc Anau service, due at Lumsden at noon on Tuesday, have not returned yet, owing to floods. The unhridged condition of the road made the trip impossible. It is imperative that something should be done if the service is to be a success. The mails were brought through to-day by horse and trap. Heavy rains are being experienced and the country is badly flooded. This is severe on farmers, as the harvest is still unthreshed.
