: SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Department published the following summary and forecast at 5 p.m.:—Summary.—Cool and changeable weather has been experienced generally, showers have fallen in most parts of the country at times, and the conditions have been squally in the northern and. southernmost districts. Southerly and wtsterlv winds, strong to gale in parts, liave~-}>iai'ailed, and the barometer has risen everywhere. Forecast. — Present indications are for a rise in the barometer everywhere. with strong westerly to southerly winds, cold and changeable conditions, with showers in parts.
