THE NORWOODS AND VON ARX HUGE COMBINED SHOW. The Norwoods and Von Arx combined show will appear in the Theatre Royal to-night and to-morrow night. The amalgamation of these two companies has consolidated an aggregation of highclass artists hailing from the United States. Speaking of their performances !n Napier the Hawke's Bay Herald says: "There was always something novel about each item. Of Professor Norwood's marvellous hypnotic art the flame paper Bays: "Subjects were obtained from the audience and put through a number of extraordinary antics in a way that provoked great amusement in the audience. Professor Norwood was assisted by Miss Winifred Norwood, who, in the hypnotic trance, gave an excellent exhibition of mind leading and telepathy. Von Arx's turn was bright, and snappy. George Murphy is not an ordinary juggler. He is a comedian as well, and his amusing patter kept the audience in a eondit'on of constant merriment." Professor Norwood has imitators, hut he himself claims to be endowed with a p'ower which i 3 a gift from the gods. He would draw public attention to the fact that i<n imitator was denounced in Napier. The Norwood and Von Arx Company has just finished'an enormously successful season in Wellington of record, business. The local plans are at Collier's. This afternoon Professor Norwood, starting from the New Plymouth Post Office at 4 o'clock, will perform a wild blindfold hypnotic drive.
