The state of parties is as follows: Liberals 45 Labor 26 Independents 2 Counting of the postal votes is not yet completed. Those already dealt with show that the Liberals availed themselves of this method to a greater extent than Labor. There are at least three electorates which have been gained for Labor by small majorities only, and the. postal votes already dealt with indicate the possibility of the results being reversed. THE TASMANIAN ELECTIONS. UNPRECEDENTED INTEREST. Hobart, May 1. Unprecedented interest is being displayed in the Tasmanian elections. The counting is very incomplete, but early figures seem to indicate that the Labor Party will gain one seat.
