A FATAL FIRE.
ACCIDENT TO MAN-O'-WARSMEN. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. Received 30, 9.35 p.m. Brisbane, April 30. A new four-storeyed building in Edward and Mary streets, occupied by the Queensland Agency as a wholesale dry goods store, was destroyed by fire. The damage is estimated at £45,000, which is covered by insurance. A number of man-o'-warsinen from the gunboat Gayundah were standing on the roof of an adjoining building, assisting the brigade, when paTt of a wall fell on them. Walter Oldham was killed, and Alexander Smith injured.
