POLITICAL.
INGLEWOOD LIBERAL ASSOCIATION Mr. J. B. Simpson, secretary for the [above association, writes:—"lt may be of interest for readers to k"W that the Hon. G. Laurenson, Ministi v for Labor, has been approached by the above association to give a political address in Inglewood, and I have no doubt a favorable reply will be received, if other engagements will allow, as Mr. Laurenson has shown himself to be only too willing to give his services to the .electors of the colony in explaining and defending the past and future policy of the Liberal Party. At the social to Mr. McCluggage at Stratford, and also at the one tendered to Mr. W. T. Jennings at Waitara, Mr. Laurenson showed lie had the knack of explaining things political in a manner that should be appreciated by all, and, coupled with the fact that, although representing Lyttelton and other towns, he has a large number of small farmers in his electorate on the Banks Peninsula, his address in Inglewood should prove of interest to farmers in this district. It is hoped that those in search of truth and who favor fair dealing will attend the meeting, which will be advertised in due course.
