By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 29, 9.35 p.m. London, April 28. Wheat.—Two Australian cargoes have been sold at 40s 3d and 39s 0d respectively. Messrs. W. Weddell and Co. report, nnder date London, April 26:—Butter— New Zealand first grade salted, 110 a; unsaJted, 114s; market steady. Cheese.— New Zealand first grade white, 70s; colored, 71s. Cheese dealers in both New Zealand and Canada are bearing the market; but we are opposing this and look for an improvement in the near future. The New Zealand Loan and Mercan* tile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from London, under date April 26:—Frozen Meat. —The market is firmer for lamb. There is a good demand far beef, but iihe enquiry for mutton is limited.
