A LIBERAL VICTORY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 28, 5.5 p.m. Brisbane, April 28. The elections were keenly contested, the polling being exceptionally heavy. The returns are incomplete, but a substantial Liberal victory is assured. LABOR'S SUCCESS. Received 20, 12.45 a.m. Brisbane, April 28. The Queensland election figures show that the Liberals are leading in 45 electorates, Laborites in 24, and Independents in three. In the. last Parliament the figures respectively were, 41, 26 and 5. All the Ministers are leading comfortably. The return of Mr. Bowman, leader of the Labor Party, is assured, and Mr. Coyne, leader in the late strike, is also in a strong position.
