THE DRINK BILL
A SMALL REDUCTION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Friday. A statement prepared by Mr. A. S. Adams, of Dunedin, shows that the New Zealand drink , bill for 1911, based on Customs returns, is as follows:—Spirits £1,585,580, wines £286,304, imported beer £82,095, New Zealand beer £1,8P5,392—total £3,859,371. The cost per head of population is £3 1,2s Cy 2 d, a decrease of 6%d.
