GAOL BREAKING
A NEW PLYMOUTH CRIMINAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, List \'i«ht. About 3 o'clock this afternoon 'a prisoner named John Lewis escaped from Mount Cook prison works. lie was working in a brickyard and escaped by climbing a wall. Lewis was recently released from New Plymouth prison, but was only two days a free man when he again came before the courts. Ife is about 3'6 years of age, sft Gin in height, and of dark complexion. Parties are out endeavoring to recapture him.
