IMMIGRANT ACCOMMODATION. The Sydney Shipping.List, dealing with the question of accommodation for emigrants, says that .the past twelve months has been a very perplexing one to the Australian and New Zealand steamship lines, the demand for berths far exceeding the supply. The prospect for the present year is in no way alleviated in this respect. It is stated on good authority that for every berth there will be two applicants for'some time to come, unless more accommodation can be provided. Iti this connection an interesting report is to the effect that both the Milburn and'Tyser lines arc building steamers fitted with berths for emigrants. This is a new departure for these two firms, their operations Hitherto having been confined almost exclusively bo the carrying of cargo. OVERSEA SHIPPING. STEAMERS TO ARRIVE AT WELLINGTON.
