MINISTERS MOVEMENTS

On luesday the lion. Geo. Lauronson and the Hon. Dr. Te Rangihiroa and party proceeded by motor-ear from Waitara, the former to Mokau and the latter to Ureiini. On the wav the Hon. G. Laurenson pulled up at Waihi and gave i> short address to the children, both Ministers doing the same thing at Urenui. Mr. Jennings also addressing the children. The Hon. Geo. Laurenson, with his party and Mr. Jennings, went on, Dr. Tc Rangihiroa remaining at Urenui visiting his old friends of both races. On his way back the Hon. Te Rangihiroa again called at the school and entered in the dog book the visit paid by the party. In the evening he addressed a meeting of Maoris in th« Clifton Hall, leaving for the south by the mail train on Wednesday morning. The Hon. Geo. Laurenson and his party arrived in Mokau on Monday evening, and had a conference with the Harbor Board and River Trust. In reference to the bad state of the wharf the Minister says that it is in a deplorable state, and under the circumstances he is obtaining an estimate of the cost of the erection of a more suitable and substantial structure, and has promised to use hie best efforts with the Cabinet to relieve the position. The party proceeded up the river about twelve miles and were more than pleasantly surprisd at the wonderful scenery . "It is almost beyond conception." "Had not a thought of such magnificence." "Wonderful scenery. These are the expressions used by the Minister on his return. After a more pleasant drive homewards than the outward journey, during which time it rained incessantly, the party arrived" m Waitara last evening, and said that despite the inclement weather they had had a most enjoyable time. Yesterday morning saw them off by the mail train for Wellington.
