THE MAYORAL ELECTION

Considerable interest is being taken in the Mayoral election to-day, and given fine weather there -will be a record poll. Mr. G. W, Browne, the sitting Mayor, is being opposed by Mr. ,T. S. S. Medley. The returning officer, Mr. F. T. Bellringer, has made complete arrangement* for taking the poll, and ratepayers may record their votes between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. at any of the following booths:— Public Hall, Fitzroy; the residence of Mr. S. T. Crocker, corner Devon and Eliot streets; the Town ITall. King street, New Plymouth; the residence of Mr. G. A. Corney, corner of Devon and Mt. Edgecombe streets.
